Marble fountain, early 20th century

Antique Italian hand-carved marble fountain with classical shaped basin, removed from the garden of an important Milanese villa. The antique Italian marble fountain was built in the early 20th century. It is in a good state of preservation, the wear and tear is compatible with age and use, and nothing stands out that would require restoration. The fountain consists of three superimposed basins, the lower basin acting as a base, the middle basin and the smaller upper basin supported by three finely depicted putti. At the top of the fountain, a cherub riding a fish acts as a central element and water gushes from the mouth of the fish, creating a scenic and musical effect.
