Falkland pendant lamp by Bruno Munari, 1960s

The Falkland pendant lamp was created by designer Bruno Munari in 1964 for Danese, Italy. The elastic tubular material is created by inserting several metal rings of different diameters into the empty space inside. The lamp obtains its appearance through the effect of gravity when suspended. The Falkland lamp has a handmade light diffuser made of elastic fabric, tubular rings and an aluminium frame. It has some defects and damage on the mesh, but the structure is excellent. Repairs will be carried out on request.
