Modular wooden bookcase by Ico Parisi for Mim, 1950s

On hold

This vintage modular wooden bookcase, called Lerici, was designed by Ico Parisi for Italian manufacturer MIM, in the 50s. The wooden bookcase is called Lerici and is published on Ico Parisi's book and on Domus. It is made entirely of wood and is composed of two modules that through their knurls fit together perfectly. There are 6 drawers, a taller cabinet and a lower chest of drawers, in addition to 3 shelves. There are 6 round feet on all sides, made of brass in first patina, which allow the extension and fixing to the ceiling. This original and beautiful bookcase would be a fitting addition to elegant and important living rooms and offices. As you can see in the pictures, the bookcase is also marked by manufacturer. The wood bookcase is in good original vintage condition, wear and scratches consistent with use and time. Brass in first patina.
