Eight-armed brass and opaline glass chandelier, 1950s

A splendid mid-century brass chandelier, designed in the 1950s and of fine Italian manufacture. The chandelier is connected to the ceiling by a black cap from which a gilded brass tube, original to the period, descends. This tubular structure supports thin black painted brass frames, which connect to the central gilded brass roundel. Below this roundel is a bell-shaped element in white opaline glass. From the brass roundel branch eight arms, each of which has a round gilt brass base, which supports the white opaline glass cap in the shape of an inverted bell, which contains a light. The chandelier is splendid and is suitable for vintage settings.
