Three-door wooden wardrobe by Paolo Buffa for Serafino Arrighi, 1950s

Sold

Impressive mid-century wardrobe designed by designer Paolo Buffa for the fine Italian manufacturer Serafino Arrighi, dating from the 1950s. The wardrobe is made entirely of fine dark wood with beautiful grain. The cabinet has three large doors, each of which has a round brass knob in original patina. The base is made of wood and is supported by three feet that create a very beautiful and distinctive hollow rectangular shape. The three doors are divided into three small squares, thanks to the recess in the wood. The door on the far left is divided into three compartments, thanks to two wooden shelves; at the top is a cylindrical coat rack. On the back of the door there is a large rectangular mirror. The central door has a large hanging compartment, with a small drawer at the bottom. On the right-hand door are two more hangers, one also useful for hanging ties.
