Caged brass and Murano glass chandelier by Fontana Arte, 1990s

Four pendant lamps produced using the ancient technique of cage-blown glass: the master glassmaker blows the glass bubble into its mouth inside a metal cage, which only partially contains its natural expansion. In this way, the final object is partly held by the cage and partly escapes from it, creating a play of tensions that generates an object suspended in the act of breaking out of its restraint; the cage is further embellished by a galvanic treatment that enhances its appearance, making it shiny and bright. Glossy white glass enclosed within a transparent glass. Produced by the masters of Fontana Arte. The height of the pendant without chain is 46 cm. The price is for each one.
