Inlaid wood and glass chest of drawers by Giovanni Gariboldi, 1950s

Elegant Italian chest of drawers by Giovanni Gariboldi from the 1950s. The chest of drawers was finely crafted in fine Italian workmanship. The cabinet bears the label of the exhibition at the permanent exhibition in Cantù. The chest of drawers features marvellous wood inlays on the inside, denoting magnificent woodwork. The inlays present are represented by doves and floral ornaments. The cabinet is made of beige lacquered wood. The top has its original thick glass from the period and is still in excellent condition. Completing this elegant chest of drawers are two pull-out drawers on the right-hand side. The drawers are beautifully worked with embossed square ashlars. The handles are set inside the cabinet in triangular relief wood. This elegant chest of drawers is ideal to complete a classical style bedroom or can serve as a sideboard in an elegant Mid Century style living room.
