Item description

Rectangular shape with moulded hinged lid on a dovetailed case, shelf base. A fine example of 17th century Tuscan craftsmanship, this fine rustic chest was hand carved from antique walnut, with hand-forged iron hinges. Beautifully aged and well-preserved patina. It is perfect as a bench or as a chest for blankets at the foot of the bed. It has been well preserved for centuries, in excellent condition for the years it has lived.
