Item description

This Bauhaus and Czech functionalism classic is in good condition. The oak frame shows slight signs of wear. The side panels of this model are finished with chrome bars that have an attractive patina. The bottom of the sofa, under the seat cushions, can be moved upwards by means of a tilt mechanism and offers space for blankets, pillows, etc. The cushions probably still have their original coverings and show obvious signs of wear, such as abrasion. The well-known architect Jindrich Halabala designed this H-215 sofa in 1929 for the Czech furniture manufacturer UP Zavody, who realised several of his designs. Seat height 43 cm, seat depth 77 cm.
