This elegant and comfortable three-seater sofa and armchair set in oak model GE-290 by Hans J. Wegner was produced by Getama, a Danish furniture manufacturer. It is one of the most important Danish designs of the 1950s. It shows the designer's characteristic style, characterised by clean lines, organic shapes and attention to detail. It represents the essence of Danish mid-century modern design, combining timeless elegance with exceptional craftsmanship. The set consists of a three-seater sofa and a lounge chair. They feature solid oak frames, which guarantee durability and a natural aesthetic. The lounge set was upholstered in a high-quality light blue Kvadrat fabric. The upholstery included checking and strengthening the inner springs and adding new foams. Excellent condition, with slight traces of use on the wood, which was cleaned with professional compounds. The construction is very robust. The manufacturer's stamp is preserved.
