Item description

Miniature bronze sculpture depicting Hermes at rest made by the Chiurazzi Foundry in Naples, early 20th century. At that time the foundry had a department devoted only to small objects such as this proposed one. The sculpture is of sublime quality; there is no more chiseler with these skills. It exactly reproduces the physicality, expression and softness of the original statue preserved at the National Archaeological Museum in Naples.
