Louis XVI portico pendulum in white marble, second half of the 18th century











Portico pendulum in white marble. Four-column structure of which the front ones are circular and the rear rectangular. They support a round-arched pediment adorned with five small flowers in chased and mercury-gilded bronze. In the centre is the mechanism within a gilded ring. White porcelain dial signed "Gaston Jolly fils in Paris". The plinth at the base is centred by a beautiful floral frieze. Wire pendulum suspension and mechanism overhauled and in working order. France, Louis XVI period (late 18th century). Regular certificate of authenticity with photo is issued.
