Item description

Plaster bust with antique bronze patina by the Chiurazzi Foundry. The portrait depicts the Emperor Caracalla (188-217 A.D.). Extraordinary quality being reproduced from the original cast of the bronze sculpture in the National Museum in Naples. The emperor's face is presented with a slight twist to the left and the expression is marked by a frown of anger full of pathos.
