In 1969 the well-known designer Gaetano Pesce caused a sensation with a red armchair that more or less faithfully reproduced the shape of a woman; for the 50th anniversary, this splendid, yet unusual, piece of furniture has been re-proposed with new color trends. Plain or striped, the effect is always special for this timeless UP 50 armchair by B&B Italia. In the striped variant, two colors expertly combined give joy and modernity that goes beyond time. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this armchair, a sculpture that echoes the same traits was exhibited for some time in Milan; a particular moment like this was an opportunity to underline a strong "no" regarding violence against women.
