Double bed in briarwood with bedside tables in headboard, 1960s

A double bed frame, it is an original production from the 1960s and not a modern-day remake. Made of wood and briarwood with beautiful marbling. Soft shapes with curved finishes. Slim legs in contrasting darker wood with brass finial. The headboard has two side 'wings' on which drawers are placed to serve as bedside tables. The two drawers have a beautiful silver-coloured glass with marbled effect on the top. The headboard is a single block, the drawers/bedside tables are screwed together. The bed can be used with a bed base with legs measuring 160 x 190 cm, the usable internal span is 167 x 197 cm. Headboard width 278 cm. Bed frame width 173 cm. Internal clearance 167 x 197 cm. Inside distance from headboard to footboard 203 cm. Headboard height at centre 106 cm, at sides 72 cm. Height at top of bedside table 66,5 cm. Height of suspended bedside table only 11,5 cm. Height at footboard 63 cm. Side height 35 cm. Depth of entire structure 210 cm. Size of drawers/bedside tables 42 x 24 cm. Use with bedstead 160 x 190 cm, bedstead not included. Is in good condition, not recommended for use with a bed base. The usual signs of wear and tear are present: small scratches, missing or cracked briarwood. Note the presence of two holes that have been made in the headboard to allow it to be fixed to the wall; once the bedstead and mattress are in place they will not be visible, see photos.
