"Abstraction" is a series of wool rugs depicting a landscape of Lake Como. The lake has always been a great source of inspiration and an escape from the chaos of Milan. A place gently washed by water, surrounded by mountains, vibrant and wild, silent and enveloping. During the first lockdown in Italy, this place of memories and experiences gave birth to a series of paintings inspired by the colors, reflections and shapes of the lake. The paintings pay personal and familiar homage to the artistic heritage of Lake Como, from the material works of the famous "magistri cumacini" to the neo-futuristic forms of painters such as Mario Radice. So we decided to transform the geometric lines into a series of artworks that can complement the interiors, bringing in the warm feeling and colors of nature.
