Bronze sculpture depicting female nude, 1960s

Bronze sculpture depicting a female nude. A small statue made of bronze with parts, such as the face, gilded with mercury and a wooden base. The sculpture depicts a sinuous female figure with an abundant form in a dancing pose that exudes joy. It is important to note the contrast that the artist wanted to give through the juxtaposition of a visually heavy body and a pose that is instead light at the edge of balance. This work is reminiscent in form of the great artist and sculptor Fernando Botero who made the abundance of bodies in his subjects his distinguishing feature. It is probably a tribute to his great work. The statue is not signed, so it is not possible to trace its author or date it. Besides being a work of art, the sculpture is also very decorative and ideal for filling small spaces and giving movement to the environment. It is in a good state of preservation.
