Wrought iron pedestal attributed to Alessandro Mazzucotelli, early 20th century

Rare hand-crafted wrought iron pedestal attributed to Alessandro Mazzucotelli, early 20th century. It comes from an elegant Milanese apartment built and decorated by Mazzucotelli in the first decades of the 20th century. This type of accessory was usually used as a support for Murano glass cups, as evidenced by the contemporary works of Umberto Bellotto; however, it can also be used as a support for flower pots.
