Three-bay teak bookcase by Poul Cadovius for Gustav Bahus, 1960s

Mid-century modern Scandinavian teak wall system by Poul Cadovius, manufactured in Norway by Gustav Bahus in the 1960s. It is a fully modular, 3-bay shelving system made of teak. It has interchangeable components that can be easily arranged as required thanks to a system of black-painted metal hangers with regular slots in the solid wood rails. Three cabinets, one of which has a woven rattan front, typical of Gustav Bahus production, and six shelves provide functional storage space. This set consists of: a bar cabinet: H: 34/W: 80/D: 32 cm; cabinet with glass doors H: 34/W: 80/D: 30 cm; hinged door cabinet with rattan front H: 33,5/W: 80/D: 38 cm; 1 shelf 30 cm deep; 5 shelves 20 cm deep; 4 upright supports 162 cm long; black metal fittings. Our team thoroughly checked the wall unit. All components fit together and all doors and mechanisms work properly. We have rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil and other professional compounds. All interiors are clean. We leave small, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetics and only confirm its originality. We bring it back to its best, considering that it is 60 years old. Customers from all over the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, please contact us for explanations and close-ups of the piece. Overall, the wall cabinet is in fantastic condition, with slight traces of use related to its age.
