Round teak table attributed to Gio Ponti, 1950s

Sold

Superior quality round dining table, produced in Italy in the 1950s. The table appears to have been designed by Gio Ponti, but there are no maker's marks. The execution is the same as his tables. The table top has been completely restored and the teak wood has been preserved with several coats of oil, achieving a natural, low-gloss look that brings out the harmonious wood grain to the fullest. The table has a black iron frame complemented by brass feet, which add durability and a touch of refinement to its design. The screwed legs allow for easy adjustment, ensuring stability on any surface. This dining table is exceptionally well-made and suitable for vintage or mid-century modern interiors. The table is in excellent condition, with minimal traces of use on the feet. These only confirm its age. Height: 74 cm, table top: 105 cm x 105 cm, base: 102 cm x 102 cm Please note that the table top is detachable for shipping purposes.
