Ancient Swiss painting dated 1852. Oil work on canvas, in the first canvas, depicting the subject of sacred art, Madonna and Child of excellent pictorial hand. Picture of great extent and impact, characterized by warm shades and bright colors. The work that has recently been cleaned, bringing the color, sweetness of the faces and the delicacy of the hands of Mary and the little Jesus to the ancient splendor. Painted and dated in the bottom right M. Paul Deschwanden (see photo) referable to the Swiss painter Melchior Paul von Deschwanden (1811-1881), missing authentic. It works easily attributable to the famous painter given the pictorial quality, to the loved person and the delicacy of setting, unfortunately missing additional documentation. Original frame, finely carved coeval frame and golden decoration (see photo). It operates in beautiful patina for antique dealers and collectors of nineteenth century. Painted with some very small sign of time, overall in good conservative state. Painted light H 123 x L 92 cm.
