Genoese dressing table in rosewood and snake wood, 18th century

Its elegance is accentuated by the sinuous lines and the rosewood inlay, surrounded by the essence of rosewood. Its uniqueness lies in the multi-functionality, a feature dictated by the needs of the client, so that the furniture can serve simultaneously as a desk or lectern, simply by tipping the mirror in mercury. Lifting the two outer wings of the shelf are then placed two storage compartments paved in precious snake wood. The piece of furniture reaches its maximum versatility thanks to the peculiar possibility of separating the shelf in block from the legs, thus obtaining two independent pieces: a mobile dressing table/desk - or a shelf for bed service - , and a simple table wonderfully decorated with chinoiserie painted on lacquer. 102cm in width when open.
