Space Age aluminum wall light in the style of Angelo Brotto, 1970s

Space Age sculptural wall light from the 1970s in the style of Angelo Brotto. The design era known as the Space Age spans nearly three decades, from the late 1950s to the mid-1980s. Designers and artists around the world have created objects influenced by the aesthetics of rockets, spaceships, science fiction films, and imaginary, utopian futures. This lamp, a wall light, is made of brushed aluminum applied to a wooden base. It has four lights and an off-centre hole with a chromed metal edge. It is not signed but is made in the style of the famous sculptor and lighting designer Angelo Brotto. It can accommodate standard E14 bulbs like the ones in the photo but also thinner bulbs that fit into the lamp sockets. It is preserved in excellent condition, with minor signs of age, and is in perfect working order. The only significant sign of use is a small dent near the edge of the central hole, visible in the photos. The cables are ready for installation and have been checked by a professional electrician.
